We live in a dandy society where street etiquette one would give and take depends on what type of vehicle you drive. For example, if your ride is German, posh, up to date and quite polished you would be treated as a civilian. On the other hand, if you drive an ugly, tiny, Japanese car you would be treated as scum that deserves to remain on the far right lane.
I personally experienced that the other day when I went to a camp that’s in the deserts of far, far away. That being said, I decided to take another, lowly, car for such a long, rough drive. Here’s what you will experience when you drive a labor-esque car:
- You are absolutely forbidden to drive on the far left lane. You’re a peasant who remains on the right lane.
- If you flicker your lights to surpass anyone, you will be ignored.
- You will be in a light adventurous mood throughout your drive and attempt to crash the car at every turn because anything below Kuwaiti standards is destroyable despite financial value and longevity.
End of transmission.

This is just a reflection of our Kuwaiti society and also a lesson for you to learn and always take your posh car even if you were going to a camp in order to be respected on our streets.
You peasants never learn.

Comment by suspic December 2, 2009 @ 6:45 AMU r absolutely right, the funniest thing is driving an old German car worth less than 4,000 KD will give u more respect on the road than driving a new Japanese car worth more than 7,000 KD.
Comment by Hamad-F10 December 1, 2009 @ 3:48 PMHaha, exactly. Anything provoking a “yimkin kuwaiti” reaction will grant you uber respect. =O

Comment by Soul December 8, 2009 @ 10:44 PMOne thing I can never tolerate is when someone who isn’t from Kuwait flashes me from behind AKA someone with a saudi/qatari/bahraini license plate.
Im like ‘wtf is this nosegay thinking? gtfo of here nigguh you dont even @#%@#%@# live here’
racist? na, more of a realist.
Comment by sexleg December 14, 2009 @ 7:07 PMI absolutely loathe foreigners. They flash you but when you flash them they act as if they don’t understand the basic concept of “flash flash, gtfo, flash flash”. =O
